Leigh Ann Muth-Waring joined the Career Center in July 2013 with a background in career coaching, employer relations, academic advising, academic policy, and teaching. She is a member of the Employer Relations team and serves as the primary liaison to organizations who offer internships, early talent opportunities, or exploratory programs for first-year and sophomore level undergraduate students. Local vendor Thrive Kitchen and Catering will open a new dining venue in the Bryan Center this fall, according to Duke Dining. The new venue will replace The Loop, whose contract is set to expire at the end of this school year. The Loop’s last day of operation will be May 5, 2023. Prior to coming to Duke in July 2003, Megan worked in residential real estate while earning a BA in Communication at NC State. Her prior experience includes building a 16-store restaurant franchise in the Midwest, creating wardrobe for a Las Vegas show and teaching, while traveling with the circus. In 2013, she earned her Master’s in Library Science from North Carolina Central University. Meg’s responsibilities at Duke include managing communication; reception and triage; logistics and marketing for events, programs and services; and multimedia support for the Career Center. She is a college advisor at Duke as well.
