As Assistant Director, Natalia plans, coordinates, and administers co-curricular programming and activities that help international graduate students transition to Duke University and the Durham community. The programs aim to enhance the overall first year experience and introduce students to resources, networking opportunities, and bring awareness and understanding to the variety of cultures and backgrounds at Duke. Elizabeth is originally from Guatemala, Central America but spent most of her childhood in the mountains of North Carolina. Krystal George joined the Duke Women’s Center in 2015 and is the Assistant Director for Educational Initiatives. She is responsible for providing expertise in the creation, development, assessment of services related to gender based violence for the Duke community. She oversees the implementation of environmental prevention, intervention, education and training efforts to engage undergraduate, graduate and professional students in the reduction and elimination of gender based violence on campus.
Krystal is a 2007 graduate of North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Education. In 2008, she received professional certification through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. and received her Masters of Public Administration from Strayer University at RTP in 2009. Krystal worked over 6 years at the NCCU Women’s Center, where she found a passion for helping survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence and also educating the community about this issue. Working at the Duke Women’s Center has allowed her to motivate female students on campus professionally and personally, as well as raise the awareness of gender violence to the university through prevention.

Resolution through a hearing. If a case is referred for disciplinary action, the student/student group will be notified of the incident in question and the policy violation(s) under consideration, and will be given an opportunity to respond. There are several means by which to resolve disciplinary situations. The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards will determine which avenue is most appropriate to pursue.
