Black Convocation and Reception is a program open to all Black identified students, faculty, and staff as a welcome back to Duke University. It also introduces First year students to the Black community and Black student organizations on campus.

Join us on East Campus for Shabbat blessings and our JLD tradition of “Good Thing of the Week,” followed by a free, kosher Shabbat picnic dinner with your new classmates. First Big Week is back! First Big Week is the first week of classes (plus the surrounding weekends) and runs from August 27 through September 4 this year.
