DISC Helps You Navigate the Services You Need. Trip to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Drop-Offs Only DMV is open for walk-ins and appointments. Walk-ins are accepted daily starting at noon. Duke International Student Center will provide drop-off only transportation to DMV on every second Thursday of the month, departing from our office at Smith Warehouse, 114 Buchanan Blvd, Bay 5. Last month I had the opportunity to talk to Duygu Dogrucan, who is a Turkish professor at Duke – and also an active participant in the International House’s English and Spanish Conversation Clubs. After receiving her BA and a MA in Foreign Language Education in Istanbul, Duygu reflected on whether she wanted to seek a PhD, describing this time as a “personal discovery period”.
