We will be hosting a Lobbying 101 workshop in partnership with El Pueblo, a local non-profit. Our goal is to prepare students for a lobbying trip to the North Carolina General Assembly. El Pueblo will provide students with the necessary material, history, and knowledge to lobby our local representatives for immigrant rights.
Join your peers for community and conversation! Monthly lunch series with Student Affairs leadership designed to be causal and fun. A place to learn from your peers and ask questions to leaders over lunch. Space is limited to 15 students. The interest form (qualtrics) will be active from Monday, March 11 – Monday, March 25 (noon).
Our second, and final, lobbying workshop with El Pueblo will be about power mapping. This is the strategy of identifying and analyzing key players and stakeholders within particular issues. This workshop will be critical in developing effective lobbying strategies in preparation for our trip to the North Carolina General Assembly.
