Wear Teal and join GVEO, One-Love, and SHAPE on BC Plaza for Teal Day, as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Stop by our table Tuesday April 9th from 10am-1pm, to grab a snack, answer some trivia, win a T-shirt, and to learn more about the importance of sexual assault prevention, consent, and creating a culture of respect. Why Teal? Teal is the color representing sexual assault awareness and prevention. By wearing teal, we show our support for survivors and advocate for a world free from sexual violence.
We hope to have an event that allows for a club bonding/education activity. We plan to partake in an arts and crafts type activity where we make gifts for friends that can be handed out during finals period to help relieve stress, as well as hear from a speaker over zoom who gives insight into the realities of medical debt.
The Duke Justice Project will be viewing the film “On These Grounds” and engaging in a discussion on the policing of Black women in America.
