Freewater Presentations will be screening “Midsommar” on Abele Quad on 3/26 at 8 pm. It tells of a couple that travels to Sweden to visit their friend’s rural hometown for its fabled midsummer festival, but what begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a cult.

DJSU is excited to bring a speaker from Breaking the Silence, an organization composed of former IDF soldiers who aim to expose the public to the daily reality of the occupation and Israeli military rule over the Palestinian civilian population in the territories, a reality witnessed firsthand during their military service.

Soukous is an 80’s/90’s music and dance style from the Democratic Republic of Congo. During this dance class, we will learn some basic movements and discover how moves from the past have influenced other dance styles like hip hop, salsa, and other international styles.
