Student Organization Requirements

In order to maintain good standing with the university, student organizations are required to participate in training/development opportunities throughout the year. By participating in these workshops student leaders will:

  • build stronger communities within their organization
  • become more knowledgable about university policies and processes
  • grow their leadership skills
  • create sustainable structures within their organization

Groups must send at least one representative to four opportunities throughout the academic year.

  • one workshop must be the Next Level Leadership Summit
  • attendees can represent up to two groups per workshop
  • groups must be represented at workshops on three different topics
  • groups can check their progress via the badge feature on Duke Groups
  • failure to attend four workshops will render a group ineligible to re-register for the next school year

Workshop topics and dates will be announced at least one month in advance via the monthly Student Organization Newsletter and on this website.
