Fraternities and sororities are opportunities for students to meet like-minded peers and connect with one another in values-based organizations. Fraternities and sororities provide community within national and international networks as members join chapters at Duke. 

Students interested in joining a fraternity or sorority are encouraged to explore all the chapters at Duke through council information, national organizations’ websites, and activities and events on DukeGroups. Questions? Contact us at

The Duke Greek Community Standards (DGCS) is the baseline expectation that we have for all organizations to be recognized by Duke University.  

Submissions are due at the end of each semester. Results are publicly available on the Community Scorecard.

DGCS Packet: All information pertaining to the Duke Greek Community Standards. The packet outlines all of the criteria that chapters are expected to meet to be recognized by Duke University. Additionally, Chapters may submit additional information to become eligible for the annual "Excellence Awards."
