Bundle Up Advisory: Stay Warm and Stay Safe!

Home Blog Bundle Up Advisory: Stay Warm and Stay Safe!

A chilly week is ahead of us, so we wanted to share a quick heads-up about the weather and how to prepare. Here’s what you need to know:

Cold Weather Incoming

An extended stretch of bitterly cold weather is expected through Thursday morning. Daytime highs will only reach the upper 20s to mid-30s, so be sure to layer up when heading out. Early mornings will be especially frosty, with low temps ranging from the upper single digits in colder spots to low-to-mid teens elsewhere. Don’t forget your gloves, scarves, and hats to stay cozy!

Light Snow Possible Tuesday Night

While snow amounts are expected to stay under an inch, even a little can cause slick spots on roads and bridges. Stay alert, especially if you’re driving or walking in the early morning hours.

Looking Ahead

Later this week, we’re keeping an eye on the possibility of another winter weather system that could bring more wintry precipitation to our area. Details are still developing, but we’ll keep you updated as things become clearer.

Quick Tips for Staying Safe and Warm

  • Layer Up: Wear insulated layers to keep warm during your walk to class or around campus.
  • Plan Ahead: Check road conditions and allow extra time if you’re traveling, especially Wednesday morning.

Stay Informed: Keep an eye on weather updates and alerts.
