Meet the OSCCS Team

Latosha M. WIlliams, M.Ed

Associate Dean of Students and Director| Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards

Associate Dean Williams joined Duke University in May 2023 after serving as an Associate Director in the Office of Student Conduct at NC State University.  In Dean Williams’s role with NC State, she supported complainants and respondents moving through Title IX/Sexual Misconduct processes, adjudicated misconduct matters for all students, and managed the Office’s Assessment practices.  Before NC State, Dean Williams was an Associate Director of Student Conduct in Residence Life at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where they adjudicated high-level conduct cases and served as a care case manager for a residential campus of over 11,000 students.  Dean Williams obtained her Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration from NC State University in Raleigh, NC, and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. 

Dean Williams is a California girl (Born and raised in the Bay Area, CA) with southern roots (Fayetteville, NC). She enjoys spending weekends with her family (specifically her four nieces and nephews). 

Victoria Krebs

Associate Dean of Students| Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards

Associate Dean Victoria Krebs (she/her) provides outreach and support for students who report or are accused of harassment, discrimination, or sexual misconduct. Dean Krebs has been at Duke since 2015, and in 2020 she began working on adaptable resolution cases, which offer students the option to resolve cases of harassment or misconduct outside of the formal conduct process. Dean Krebs holds a J.D. from the University of Tennessee, a M.S. in education from the University of Rochester, and a B.A. in psychology from Vanderbilt University.  

Outside of Duke, Dean Krebs enjoys spending time hiking, reading, playing games (especially Mah Jongg) and doing wildlife rehabilitation for orphaned baby squirrels. Her office is in 113 Student Wellness and she always enjoys visiting with students.  Please call or stop by if she can ever be of any assistance to you.

Sevyn Hardy

Assistant Dean of Students| Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards

Assistant Dean Hardy joined Duke University in 2020 as an Assistant Dean of Students.  Dean Hardy previously served as an Assistant Director in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities at UNC Greensboro and a Conduct Specialist at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Dean Hardy has earned a Master of Education degree in Counselor Education from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interpersonal & Organizational Communication from East Carolina University.

Aaron Lash, Jr.

Assistant Dean of Students| Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards

Happily representing "America's Finest City" with a dash of southern hospitality, Assistant Dean Aaron Lash Jr. joined Duke University in 2019 as a Residence Coordinator (RC) on the East Campus within Housing & Residence Life. Dean Lash Jr. served as the Senior Program Coordinator for OSCCS in 2022 before receiving a promotion to his current position. Dean Lash Jr. firmly believes there can be beauty in the struggle, strength in showcasing vulnerability and resiliency, and that students aren't bad, but like all humans, they have bad moments. Dean Lash Jr. loves having authentic, transparent, and restorative conversations with students about academic and non-academic misconduct to facilitate applied knowledge and improve future decision-making. 

Dean Lash Jr. obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology (Social Service Track) from California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) and a Master of Education degree in Higher Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University. Outside of Duke and in his spare time, Dean Lash Jr. enjoys binge-watching various TV shows (Shoutout to the creators of This is Us, How to Get Away with Murder, The Rookie, & Power), traveling, attending concerts, and rooting for the Los Angeles Chargers and Miami Heat. Dean Lash, Jr. is a proud native of San Diego, California.

Shelvis Ponds, Jr.

Assistant Dean of Students| Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards

Dean Ponds, Jr. has nearly a decade of experience in higher education, with particular expertise in crisis management, residence life, racial equity, assessment, and restorative practices. Dean Ponds, Jr. has obtained a B.A. in English from Clemson University; an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School; and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University. Further, Dean Ponds, Jr. also holds certificates in project management and non-profit management, both from Duke University. Dean Ponds, Jr. lives in Durham and loves to explore the sights and sounds of the city on Saturdays with loved ones.

Melissa Paneto

Sr. Program Coordinator| Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards

Senior Program Coordinator Melissa Paneto joined Duke University in November 2023 after serving as a Community Outreach Specialist with The Bulls of Durham. Sr. Program Coordinator Melissa Paneto’s role with The Bulls of Durham included the developing and executing of social media marketing campaigns by creating engaging content to promote hundreds of Small Business Owners in the Triangle Area, NC.

Before her role with The Bulls of Durham, Sr. Program Coordinator Paneto was a Residential Coordinator for a transitional housing program called Stepping Stones, which provided housing and supportive services to youth ages 16-20 experiencing homelessness in Bloomington, Indiana. Sr. Program Coordinator Paneto obtained her Master of Social Worker degree at IUPUI in Indianapolis, NC, and their Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Child Sciences at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.
Outside of Duke and in her spare time, Sr. Program Coordinator Paneto loves to be active (Walks, Hikes, Barre Fitness Classes) and enjoys television shows like The Office.
