The International Student Career Course, developed by the Duke Career Center and the Duke International Student Center, is a self-paced, on-demand resource designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and tools to succeed in the U.S. job market. We understand that the process can be difficult to navigate, so the teams in the Career Center and International Student Center have streamlined everything into one easy-to-access course.
In this course, you’ll find a series of short, informative videos covering:
- Work authorization regulations (CPT & OPT for F-1 students)
- U.S. hiring practices and job search strategies
- How to discuss your visa status with potential employers
- Career Center resources to help you along the way
Since this course is entirely self-paced, you can go through the material at your own pace and revisit it as often as you need. It’s available throughout your time at Duke, so you can always come back for support at any point in your career journey.
