RC Adam is the Residence Coordinator for First-Year Programming at Duke University. They maintain oversight of three thriving and vibrant residence hall communities: Giles, Wilson, and West House. Adam also manages the Devils After Dark program — a series of late-night events designed to enhance the first-year experience on East Campus!! From his time at Duke, some of Adam’s favorite programs include “Devils After Dark: The Return,” “Midnight Breakfast,” and “Devils in the Daylight.” Starting at Duke in the Summer of 2022, Adam was born and raised in New York. They earned their BA in English and in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts in 2020. In June of 2022, Adam earned their MS in Higher Postsecondary Education from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, before flying down to Durham, North Carolina to work at Duke. Living and working at Duke has been Adam’s first full-time and permanent experience outside of the northeast!! In their spare time and for self-care, Adam cares for a large, thriving indoor plant collection and a lively puppy named Bao with their partner. Adam enjoys coffee, art, thrift shopping, and enjoying good vibes with good people 🙂
