Financial Staff AssistantI am the Financial Staff Assistant in the East Campus HRL office. As the financial staff assistant, I primarily handle the budgets for the Dean, Residence Coordinators, and House Council’s on East Campus. For each of these fund code budgets I reconcile purchases, and complete monthly audits to ensure every penny is accounted for. I also oversee the space reservations for events on East Campus and run comprehensive lock box reports to ensure master keys are in their proper places. Quite the Duke journey man I am. Started as a temporary employee in the Nike Team Store, then moved to the hospital gift shops when COVID shut the Team Store down. While in the hospital I got a position in the Radiology department as a Patient Service Assistant. This was short lived as a position in Accounts Payable came open, with my Accounting Degree from East Carolina University I applied and became a part of the Accounts Payable research team. After a year of that I found myself making a move to the East Campus HRL office which is my current home.
