Shona Price

Shona Price is a seasoned communications professional with experience in the media and healthcare industries. Relocating to North Carolina from Florida’s Space Coast, she received her undergraduate degree in journalism at the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!), and her master’s degree in strategic communications from Purdue University.

Shona joined Duke from Health First, a healthcare system in Central Florida, where she served in various leadership roles in public relations, internal and external communications and community relations. As the Director of Communications for Student Affairs at Duke, she is responsible for overseeing the strategy and processes that effectively support the division’s communication priorities and can be shared with the University community and public across multiple media formats.

Outside of her professional life, Shona loves spending quality time with her adult daughter. An outdoor enthusiast, she can often be found hiking, running, or biking. Shona is also an avid traveler who loves exploring new destinations and immersing herself in different cultures, and enjoys learning how to cook new, tasty dishes and dining at fun restaurants with tasty food and libations.
