Stormy Williams has several years of experience working in finance and Human Resources in both retail, banking, and higher education industries. She joined the Duke Student Affairs team in 2014 in what was then called “University Center Activities and Events (UCAE)” where she was passionate about working with student leaders and groups in processing and managing organizational expenses. Additionally, she was tasked with processing student staff payroll for both Student Activities and the Duke University Marine Lab. Stormy transitioned to the Student Affairs Staff Resource Office in 2022, where she works hard to support over 200 student affairs staff members and meet their human resource needs. Stormy is especially interested in advising and supporting staff in creating work/life balance as well as being a welcoming presence for new staff members who join the student affairs division.
A native of North Carolina, Stormy received both her undergraduate and Master’s of Business Administration from NC State University. Outside of work, Stormy is all about family and spends plenty of time traveling with her family and enjoying their company.
