In addition to being a full-time graduate student researcher, Joshua remains steadfast with his work in the Durham community and beyond. On campus, Joshua is known for his success in fostering community amongst over 650 Black graduate and professional students, through his leadership as President of the Duke Black Graduate & Professional Student Association. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the President’s Council on Black Affairs where he identifies and amplifies the needs and concerns of Black undergraduates, graduates, faculty, and staff at Duke.
