Durham, NC – Duke University’s International Student Center is excited to introduce the Boon Chye Loh Summer Internship Fund, a dedicated resource to empower undergraduate students pursuing summer internships in Singapore. In the spirit of fostering global experience, the fund will provide financial support to eligible students, allowing them to gain valuable insights into international workplaces, cultures, and industries.
Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the Boon Chye Loh Summer Internship Fund, students must:
- Be currently enrolled in undergraduate coursework at the time of the funding application (incoming first-year students are ineligible).
- Be in good standing at Duke University, encompassing academics, conduct, and student accounts.
- Be a matriculated, continuing student, and plan to enroll in coursework in the fall following their internship (DKU students are not eligible).
- Submitting one or more internship applications is a requirement for applying for internship funding; however, an offer acceptance is not mandatory at the time of application. We will require verification from the host organization before releasing funds.

The Boon Chye Loh Summer Internship Fund recognizes that securing internships in specific sectors or industries can involve later recruiting timelines. To accommodate this, the Duke Career Center is proud to announce a two-deadline application process, enabling students to better align their funding needs with their summer plans.
During the Regular Application Period, students are encouraged to apply for funding if they have secured internships, are in the interview process, or require access to funding prior to June. Importantly, applicants do not need to have a confirmed internship offer in hand to apply. Funding awards will be communicated no later than the end of May, facilitating students’ summer planning.Students are advised to apply during the Regular Application Period whenever possible, as Late Application Period awards depend on the availability of remaining funds.
