Students have access to confidential counseling services, psychiatry services, and mental health crisis consultation. CAPS services are offered in-person or via telehealth, and are provided to all enrolled students who pay the health fee. To get started with CAPS services, call (919) 660-1000, or visit us in the Student Wellness Center (3rd floor) Monday -Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm.
Same-Day Brief Consultation services are also available Monday-Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm. Please note that CAPS same-day services are not traditional counseling sessions. These services include meeting with an intake counselor for a brief assessment, consultation, and referral to appropriate services.
For after-hours crisis assistance, please call 919-660-1000, and press option 2 to be connected to an after-hours counselor.

Student HealthGender Violence Intervention Coordination provides clinical care and support services to individuals who have experienced gender-based violence including stalking, sexual assault, relationship violence or sexual harassment. These services include:
- Individual counseling/workshops/groups
- Information/referrals to on campus supports
- Education on reporting options
- Accompaniment to appointments and meetings
- Safety planning

The Title IX office responds to protected-class-based discrimination, harassment including sexual misconduct matters. This area also implements and monitors Duke’s harassment and discrimination policies. They provide advice, assistance, and education to individuals and groups concerning harassment prevention and non-discrimination, including handling complaints. They also address gender equity in the workplace and classroom, working to ensure that Duke complies with Title IX, a federal law banning sex discrimination.
