As the Assistant Director, Elizabeth is responsible for developing, organizing, and facilizing educational and social programs for international undergraduate students. The programs aim to enhance the overall first year experience and introduce students to resources, networking opportunities, and bring awareness and understanding to the variety of cultures and backgrounds at Duke. Elizabeth is originally from Guatemala, Central America but spent most of her childhood in the mountains of North Carolina. Elizabeth earned both her Bachelor’s in International Business and Master’s in Latin American Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She enjoys doing arts and crafts, trying different foods from around the world, traveling, and spending time with her family. Elizabeth is excited to relocate to Durham and explore the city and all it has to offer.
