Kaitlyn’s role is overseeing sustainability efforts for all Duke Dining operations. Her day-to-day work can be anything from long-term sustainability planning to digging through the compost bins. Kaitlyn loves that her work is varied and enjoys taking the time to visit the different dining locations across campus. Her current career path got started with accepting a dining sustainability internship in college. Since then, she has worked in all areas of sustainability through various roles. Some of Kaitlyn’s past work experiences have included feeding zoo animals and operating a composting facility. Kaitlyn has a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Ripon College and a M.S. in Sustainable Management from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her dogs and partner.
