Quad Advisors, are full-time, dedicated advisors assigned by quad who work alongside their pre-major advisees in the process of course selection and discernment, as well as decisions around drop/add, course grading options, and withdrawals. Pratt Academic Advising: Your first-year academic advisor is assigned by mid-September and helps support your transition to Duke through awareness of academic and support resources available to you. RCs are live-in professional staff members who oversee specific residence halls (known as houses or Quads). They ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. They supervise the RA staff, advise councils, support students of concerns, serve as conduct hearing officers, manage facilities concerns, and engage with residential students to support belonging, engagement, and well-being. They serve in the RC on-call rotation.
Residence Coordinator: Paige Pennebaker
RAs are upperclassmen who live in the residence halls and students with anything from navigating campus to organizing fun and engaging activities. They provide support and resources for students in need or crisis and serve in an on-call rotation.
Living Learning Communities at Duke strive to create a residential environment that fosters a sense of belonging and intellectual exploration on a particular topic or area of focus. LLC students partner with a sponsoring department to advance the curricular and co-curricular engagement on the designated topic.
