Lauren Denton Associate Director she/her/hers Lauren Denton joined Duke University in February 2023 and serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Multicultural Affairs. In her current role, she focuses on managing the Cultural Engagement Fund (CEF), CMA’s educational programming, and supporting multiple student organizational programming efforts. Lauren is a Black and Nepalese woman from Earle, Arkansas. Alex Espaillat Assistant Director She/Her/Ella Alex joined Duke in June 2022 and currently serves as an Assistant Director in the CMA. In their current role, Alex’s work focuses on the Latinx/o/é communities at Duke, providing programs and services in the areas of community engagement, multicultural education, social justice education, and leadership development. In addition to this, Alex leads and is responsible for the majority of the marketing and communications functions of the Center as well as encouraging coalition building resources. Armstrong Ambassadors MISSION To provide Duke University students a supportive platform to critically shape their identities, explore activism and social justice initiatives on campus, and engage in coalition building across multicultural communities.
