As October kicks off Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Duke’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) is bringing technology groups together as part of Duke Tech Week 2023.
Hundreds of student clubs and organizations will be present to showcase their groups and invite students to learn more. The event is open to all Duke students and will take place on Thursday, August 29 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on East Duke Lawn. Duke’s Grad/Prof Table Talk program is more than just a meal – it’s a platform for career-enriching conversations between Duke students and faculty. Thanks to the Heaton-Blackshear Innovation Grant, the Table Talk pilot provides funding for graduate and professional students who want to invite a faculty or staff member to lunch at one of Duke Dining’s approved locations. Associate Dean of Students Genille Anderson, who developed Table Talk, modeled it after Duke’s FLUNCH program, which funds similar networking opportunities for undergraduates.
